Control Panels

I am incoporating swappable control panels using Blum CLIP hinges which are designed for cabinet doors. I am also going to use the same hinges for attaching the front coin door panel - for easy access to the computer and storage for extra control panels.

I have the standard admin/start/coin functions on a 2 1/2 strip permanent portion on the back of the CP.

On the side of the CP box I've got two buttons on each side for Virtual Pinball games. When the box and one of the control panel flats was finished I just assumed the pinball position and had my wife mark where my fingers hit. To get the spacing right for the actual drilled holes I used two buttons from a joystick template.

• Main - Standard two joystick layout with six buttons each with a SlikStik Tornado spinner in the middle

  

• Classic - Centered joystick with +- 4 buttons set up for classic games

  

• Tron/Trackball - a converted Tron Joystick, a Ultimarc Trackball, and a Oscar Model 3 spinner (see main page for pic)

Future ideas:

• Four Player- going to gague how many opportunities this would come in handy before building one.
